We’re hosting the Continuous Delivery Mini Summit in co-location with Open Source Summit Europe 2023 on September 18, from 9:00-12:30 in Bilbao, Spain
This half-day event aims to connect the Continuous Delivery community—from leaders, industry experts, practitioners, and open source developers—to share and discuss how to improve the world’s capacity to deliver software with security and speed.
It’ll be a great chance to catch up, learn from each other, and hear about the latest trends in Continuous Delivery.
Open source technologies have become increasingly popular, especially in highly-regulated industries such as aviation, banking, healthcare, energy, and defense. Find our why and how to adopt open source.

The cdCon Call for Papers is well underway and, based on the submissions the program committee just reviewed, this year’s cdCon is going to be jam-packed with amazing technical content and community-focused sessions from project maintainers, end users, and notables in the continuous delivery space. With over 40 submissions received in just a week we were hard-pressed to choose just five to announce early but without further ado… check out the first five early bird talks:
Panel: The Continuous Delivery Paradox – Balancing Business Value with Speed Moderator: Gautham Pallapa, VMWare
Operating Tekton with Secure Defaults Speakers: Christie Wilson (Warwick) & Wendy Dembowski, Google
CI/CD for Data – Building Dev/Test Data Environments with Open Source Stacks Speaker: Vinodhini Duraisamy, Treeverse
Trusted Open Source Artifacts on the Blockchain: A Hands-On Introduction to Pyrsia Speaker: Adam Gardner, Dynatrace
Congratulations to the speakers of these talks!
*If you weren’t a part of the first five – have no fear, you are still in the running for acceptance into the cdCon 2023 program. We will send out notifications for the remaining program on March 3, 2023.*
Submit Your Talk
The CFP deadline is Friday, February 10 at 11:59 PM PST and we need more submissions to review so we can curate the best content to help others on their path to continuous delivery. We’re looking for talks in the following tracks:
101 (beginners to the CDF & continuous delivery content)
Interoperability in CD
Cloud Native CD
Best Practices in Continuous Delivery
Observability & Analytics
Security & Supply Chain Security
Developer Experience & Productivity
Policy & Governance
Automation & Testing
Community & Culture
Don’t miss this great opportunity to share your knowledge with the CDF community.
Our Program Committee members are your resource if you have any questions during the submission process. Each member brings their own experience in continuous delivery to the table and we are here to help you if you need help with your abstracts. Please feel free to reach out to me on the CDF Slack Channel, Twitter, or LinkedIn and I can help connect you to one of our members that would be best suited to answer your questions.
Lori Lorusso (CDF Outreach Chair) and Fatih Degirmenci (CDF Executive Director), also had two talks accepted. They can’t wait to highlight all of the awesome work the open source projects, SIGs, working groups, & end users are doing in the Continuous Delivery Foundation.
Open Source Summit is the premier event for open source developers, technologists, and community leaders to collaborate, share information, solve problems, and gain knowledge, furthering open source innovation and ensuring a sustainable open source ecosystem. It is the gathering place for open-source code and community contributors.
Open Source Summit is a conference umbrella, composed of a collection of events covering the most important technologies, topics, and issues affecting open source today.
This year, cdCon + GitOpsCon will be co-located with Open Source Summit and will take place May 8 – 9, 2023.
CD Events, Supply Chain, and Reference Architecture are just a few projects that Fatih has started evangelizing since he began his new GM position in June. Join us for a proper introduction to this forward-thinking technologist who has taken on the role of managing the people and projects of the Continuous Delivery Foundation. Learn how you can get involved in one of the many Working Groups, Special Interest Groups, or Open Source Projects. Fatih will give us a roadmap of the year to come and where you can make the most significant impact as a contributing member of the CDF Community.
Thank you to Tracy Ragan for hosting these online meetups!
