What is Hacktoberfest?
Hacktoberfest is a month-long celebration of open source software when everyone is encouraged to support open source communities. More details are to be posted on Hacktoberfest’s official page soon, but for now you can read up on it in this blog post.

Who can contributed?
Everyone is invited to participate and contribute regardless of your background or experience! If you’re planning to contribute tag us @CDeliveryFdn on social media and use the official hashtag #hacktoberfest10
When is it happening?
As the name suggests: Hacktoberfest happens during the month of October
- October 1: Hacktoberfest starts!
- October 31: Hacktoberfest ends
- Rest of the year: Open Source contributions are always welcome
Sign-up to participate
Hacktoberfest registrations will open on September 26. The Hacktoberfest website offers a wealth of resources for both open source newcomers and seasoned experts.
Will I get a T-Shirt? 👕
Digital Ocean says they are moving away from t-shirts this year, but will purchase a tree for the first 50,000 participants that complete their first PR/MR. More
