Uptime, Mean-Time, and Ahead of Your Time

Anna Daugherty, Director of Product Marketing, Opsera

How continuous deployment accelerates and solves common developer productivity challenges. Faster, more consistent deployments are on many developers’ minds. Achieving consistency, reliability, scalability, and fast time to market — all while ensuring security and compliance — is easier said than done.

This talk describes some of the top deployment challenges in the software space, and shows how continuous deployment can solve some of these challenges, using a real-world FinTech case study. This talk is product agnostic, with a focus on people, processes, culture, and technology as a whole.

  • Measuring Success with DORA
  • Deployment Consistency
  • Reliability and Uptime
  • Faster Time-to-Market
  • Secure and Compliant Pipelines

9:40 – 10:05

Tekton Chains in Action

Natale Vinto, Developer Advocate Lead, Red Hat

The growing demand for secure supply chain management in Kubernetes has led to the development of Tekton Chains—a powerful controller and security subsystem. This session digs into practical examples and use cases to showcase how Chains empowers Tekton users to effectively manage supply chain security. Attendees will gain insights into how Chains facilitates the secure capture of metadata during CI/CD execution, enabling robust attestation of binary provenance and verifiable builds through comprehensive signing mechanisms.

Join us to explore how Tekton Chains enhances supply chain security within the Tekton ecosystem.

10:10 – 10:35

Continuous Delivery, high-performing engineering teams, and the Holy Grail

Jeremy Meiss, Director of DevRel, Independent

“High-performing engineering teams” are the Holy Grail for every CTO. But what are they, are they attainable, and if so, how? In this talk, we’ll look at CI/CD data from over 15mil anonymous workflows and compare it against the last few years on the CircleCI platform, and explore this rare specimen in its native habitat – right there in your organization, and how to activate them using some better DevOps and Continuous Delivery practices.

We’ll also explore some of the benchmarks for CI/CD success, including the role of a Platform Team for your business!

10:40 – 11:00

Break

11:00 – 11:25

I’ve Started an Open Source Project – Now What!?!

Lori Lorusso, Open Source Program Manager, JFrog

You created a brand new open source project and you know that your project is going to save thousands of developers from going through the same hardships you faced. But how to get the word out about this amazing tool you built and get more user adoption, contributors, maintainers…

This talk will discuss how you can get your project more visibility within the developer community by proposing it to become a part of the Continuous Delivery Foundation.

11:30 – 11:55

Testing in your CD Pipelines – the CDEvents way

Ole Lensmar, CTO, Testkube

It shouldn’t come to big a surprise that testing is key to successful software delivery – especially in a complex solution architecture where individual components have separate and often disconnected lifecycles and workflows. The recently integrated Testing Events in the CDEvents specification strive to facilitate the integration of testing tools and workflows into event-driven CI/CD pipelines – be it integration, security, performance, or any other type to test required to ensure your application is running as smooth as butter on a sunny day in Bilbao.

Let’s have a look at the Testing Events specification and see some examples of how these events can be used to integrate various tools to make your PM buy ice cream for the whole team after another successful deployment.

12:00 – 12:25

Panel: Developer Experience and Productivity

Andrea Frittoli, IBM

Andrew Fenner, Ericsson

Anna Daugherty, Opsera

Jeremy Meiss, Independent

In today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape, the role of developers has become more critical than ever before. This panel aims to delve into the intricacies of Developer Experience (DX) and its direct impact on productivity, innovation, and overall project success. The discussion will revolve around the strategies, tools, best practices, and culture that organizations can adopt to create an environment conducive to fostering developer creativity, collaboration, and efficiency.

12:25 – 12:30

Closing Remarks

Neil McGonigle, Director of Cloud Engineering, Fidelity Investments

Neil McGonigle will say a few words to close off the event.
