What is the CDF Ambassador Program?

CDF Ambassador program is an initiative by CD Foundation to enable Continuous Delivery (CD) Leadership and build the Continuous Delivery Foundation through engagement, outreach and adoption of open source CD software practices and tools.

In other words, our ambassadors champion the CD Foundation and our mission to improve the world’s capacity to deliver software with security and speed. They will work together and with the Ambassador Chair to help steer the tactical roadmap for the next four quarters.

What’s the role of a CDF Ambassador?

  • Be the Community Go-To Resource for People Interested in CDF
  • Help Local Users Learn More About CDF
  • Represent the CDF Community Publicly
  • Join the CDF Monthly Ambassador Meetings

How are Ambassadors Selected?

Ambassadors are part of a yearly cohort. This year, the call for ambassadors attracted top talent from various demographic locations, industry segments, and diverse backgrounds! We received an overwhelming number of nominations primarily from Asia, Europe, North America, and Latin America. The nominations were reviewed and selected by the executive team and the Ambassador Chair, Garima Bajpai.

We have a number of ambassadors who are continuing the journey with us from 2022 to 2023, thank you to all our past ambassadors, now listed on the CDF Ambassador Alumni page.

Techstrong Series – The CD Pipeline: Continuously Delivering Software from A to Z

By Blog, Staff

We’ve partnered with Techstrong.TV to launch a new series of videos on various Continuous Delivery (CD) topics. Techstrong.TV features industry thought leaders, experts and practitioners in CD, DevOps, cloud-native, cybersecurity, and digital transformation. This partnership extends our audience reach and encourages folks to get involved in the CD dialogue.

The CD Pipeline

The series is called The CD Pipeline: Continuously Delivering Software from A to Z. It spotlights all aspects of CD as we interview community thought leaders about different technologies, open source, best practices, and future trends. Key topics include Continuous Delivery events, interoperability, software supply chain, and more.

The episodes will be hosted by Alan Shimel, Techstrong Group and Lori Lorusso, JFrog and CDF Outreach Committee Chair.

Episode 1: The State of Pipelines: Past, Present & Future – Part 1

Continuous Delivery has evolved since its inception. For our inaugural episode, we are starting a series on The State of Pipelines: Past, Present & Future. Our featured guests are maintainers, contributors, and active voices in the Tekton project and CD Foundation.

Tekton is an open source framework for creating CD systems, allowing developers to build, test, and deploy across cloud providers and on-premise systems. Join us as we talk with the Tekton project about CD and how it has transformed since its inception in the early 2000s.

Thank you to our guests for taking the time to chat about Tekton and the State of CD Pipelines:

  • Dibyo Mukherjee – Google, Software Engineer
  • Lee Bernick – Google, Software Engineer

The Continuous Delivery Foundation is hosting two great events at KubeCon + CloudNativeCon North America:

Spinnaker Summit brings together a global community of collaborators, focused on the future of Spinnaker, the open-source continuous delivery platform. Including hands-on workshops, keynotes, happy hours, and more.

CD Summit aims to connect the community—from leaders, industry experts, practitioners, and open source developers—to allow them to share and discuss how to improve the world’s capacity to deliver software with security and speed.

Both events will be located at the same venue, Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center! This will make it easier for the broader CDF community to gather together.
