Welcome to Kara de la Marck

You may have heard that the Continuous Delivery Foundation has a new team member. We’d like to wish a warm welcome to Kara de la Marck!

Kara steps into the role of Ecosystem Advocate; she’s responsible for scaling the CD Foundation’s technical communities, supporting business development, and understanding end-user and stakeholder concerns.

Having worked as a developer, Kara enjoys finding new and interesting ways to help developer teams and companies get better at delivering software. She is passionate about open source, collaboration, education, and software engineering best practices. As a board director of codebar.io, and GSoC and Outreachy mentor and organizer, Kara works to build welcoming tech communities.

“Kara has a strong background in DevOps, open source, and community building which is a unique and powerful combination. She is an amazing addition to the CD Foundation team,” said Tracy Miranda. “We are closing out 2021 with strong momentum, despite a very challenging year. Kara will be an integral part of our next phase of growth, helping to grow our communities and helping end users accelerate their business with continuous delivery.”

Kara said:

“Going from working at a CDF Premier Member company to joining the CDF has been an exciting change. In the past few weeks, I have enjoyed meeting more members of the diverse Continuous Delivery community. There’s so much we can do together! I look forward to collaborating with all of you going forward.”

Past CDF Involvement

Kara has been an involved CD Foundation community member from early on. She co-chaired the CDF Interoperability Special Interest Group (SIG) and was voted Top GitOps Evangelist by the community for this year’s CDF Community Awards
