We’re happy to share that Oleg Nenashev was reelected Technical Oversight Committee (TOC) Chair for the second year in a row! His new term starts on August 16, 2022, and will last one year, ending on August 16, 2023. (View last year’s announcement).
Oleg is a passionate leader and without him, the Continuous Delivery Foundation wouldn’t be where it is today. He is the current TOC chair and a community ambassador for the CD Foundation. His accomplishments include introducing a public TOC roadmap and driving Jenkins through the graduation process in the foundation. He’s also a core maintainer and board member for Jenkins, as well as a Keptn maintainer. He also won two CD Foundation Community Awards for: Top Doc(umenter) in 2022 and Jenkins Most Valuable Advocate in 2021!
Open source software and open hardware advocate, active mentor and organizer for open source mentorships and outreach programs. Oleg has a Ph.D. degree in hardware design and volunteers in the Free and Open Source Silicon Foundation. Oleg works on open source programs and the Keptn community at the Dynatrace Open Source Program Office.
Oleg said:
“It has been an honor for me to serve as a CDF TOC Chair and governing board member. Should the TOC members vote for me, I am ready to continue for another term. My main priority would be to coordinate technical programs within the CDF, and to make all CDF operations as transparent as possible: roadmaps, open governance and accountability of elected roles. I plan to help member projects improve their community and governance processes so that they could improve and graduate in the CDF.
“Another priority will be interoperability between projects so that the CDF end users can easily combine them for their software delivery needs, especially facilitating open standards like CDEvents and their adoption in the CDF projects. Last but not least, my priority will be to onboard more TOC members and contributors, and to find candidates who would take the TOC Chair role in the next elections.”
During the last CDF TOC meeting on August 2, Oleg mentioned that he will not run for a third term. He offered mentorship to TOC members and contributors who are interested in becoming the TOC chair after his term expires. The TOC also discussed introducing the vice-chair(s) role to formalize onboarding. If you’re interested in becoming a TOC contributor, join the team channels and regular meetings!
