The Continuous Delivery Foundation has a great community and at cdCon 2021 we will be giving away the first set of CDF Community Awards to recognize all the work that makes this community and the progress of Continuous Delivery possible.
The CDF 2021 award is a Klein bottle—a shape with no “inside” and “outside,” just one continuous surface—the perfect way to highlight the continuous mindset we embody here at the CD.Foundation. Here’s what the awards will look like this year!
The Awards
CDF Awards
- Top CDF Ambassador: A champion for continuous delivery adoption, this individual helps spread awareness of continuous delivery best practices and encourages others to get involved in the space
- Top CDF Contributor: This award recognizes the individual who has made significant contributions towards the mission of the CD.Foundation in a way that benefits the community neutrally as a whole.
- Top CDF End User: This award recognizes an end user organization that has achieved significant improvements in its continuous delivery journey and has helped the community by sharing their experiences.
GitOps Awards
- Top GitOps Evangelist: A champion for GitOps adoption, this individual helps spread awareness of GitOps benefits and best practices and drives interest and excitement around this space.
- Top GitOps End User: This award recognizes an end user organization that has achieved improvements in its continuous delivery journey by leveraging GitOps and has helped the community by sharing their experiences.
Project Awards
Each CDF project (Jenkins X, Ortelius, Screwdriver, Spinnaker, and Tekton) will select an MVP Contributor for the project. These award winners will be selected by each project’s community process.

- Most Valuable Contributor
- Jenkins Security MVP
- Most Valuable Jenkins Advocate
The Jenkins project has been hosting awards for a while and last year, the winners were announced at DevOps World. This year, the Jenkins Contributor Awards will be hosted by the CDF.
Nominate someone
The nominations are now open and will close on Friday, April 30, 2021. I’m happy to see that some deserving individuals were already nominated!
Winners & Ceremony
Most of the award winners will be nominated and voted for by the CDF community. The winners will be announced at cdCon 2021 at the end of June. I look forward to seeing you there.
