What is Hacktoberfest?
Hacktoberfest is a month-long celebration of open source software when everyone is encouraged to support open source communities. The CD Foundation and its projects are excited to participate for the fifth year in a row!
Who can contribute?
Everyone is invited to participate and contribute regardless of your background or experience! If you’re planning to contribute tag us @CDeliveryFdn on social media and use the official hashtag #hacktoberfest

When is it happening?
As the name suggests: Hacktoberfest happens during the month of October
- October 1: Hacktoberfest starts!
- October 31: Hacktoberfest ends
- Rest of the year: Open Source contributions are always welcome

You’ll get a digital badge through Holopin to represent your participation in Hacktoberfest. As each of your four pull/merge requests is accepted by a maintainer, you’ll unlock a new level in your badge, letting you customize it and showing to the community your achievement. More
