Top CI/CD practitioners and open source project leaders gather to advance the world’s capacity to deliver software with speed and security.
The Continuous Delivery Foundation (CDF), a Linux Foundation project and organization, today announced the speaker lineup for the first-ever cdCon, which takes place on October 7 & 8, 2020.
The CDF exists to establish best practices of Continuous Delivery, from the standpoints of people, processes and technology; to propel the education and adoption of Continuous Delivery throughout industries across the globe; and to facilitate cross-pollination of the delivery ecosystem to improve the world’s capacity to progress software updates with security and speed.
cdCon will bring together, for the first time, the communities around the open-source projects: Jenkins, Jenkins X, Tekton, Spinnaker, and Screwdriver. Additionally, the agenda has a key focus on end-user talks that focus on real-life case studies of CI/CD in action. Some highlight talks include:
- “How Spinnaker is Shaping Delivery Excellence at SAP” by Serge Poueme & Mohamed Bakr, SAP
- “How Yahoo! Japan Uses and Contributes to Screwdriver at Scale” – Hiroki Takatsuka & Jithin Emmanuel, Yahoo! Japan
- “Dailymotion’s Continuous Delivery Story” – Vincent Behar, Dailymotion
- “Spinnaker at Salesforce: Enterprise-Level Multi-Substrate Continuous Delivery and Release Management” – Jing Vergara, Salesforce
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about modern-day continuous delivery looks like in practice at various organizations. The latest developments in microservices, GitOps, MLOps and the open-source projects will be discussed.
