This year, cdCon will again be a micro-conference at Open Source Summit North America—a conference umbrella, composed of a collection of events covering the most important technologies, topics, and issues affecting open source today.
The 2024 State of CI/CD Report continues to reveal a growing trend of DevOps adoption among developers, with the majority (83%) engaged in related activities. However, the report also raises concerns about declining deployment performance, particularly among those with less experience and those using multiple similar CI/CD tools. A key to achieving high performance in CI/CD, and ultimately in software delivery, hinges on an approach that leverages a diverse set of DevOps technologies and utilizes (ideally) a combination of managed and self-hosted CI/CD tools and solutions.
I am really honored and excited to be the Program Chair of this next year’s cdCon North America in Denver, Colorado, to help craft an agenda that combines thought leadership, better practices, and interesting ideas from a diverse group of CD leaders, practitioners, and educators. In order to do this, I’m looking for volunteers to join me in the process of reviewing, rating, and ultimately selecting the talks that will make up the Program for the next cdCon.
